Energy firm Ørsted has invested $55m (€50.4m) in Mission Clean Energy to support the expansion of its US solar and storage project pipeline
The latest investment expands Ørsted’s existing partnership with the Wafra-backed US utility-scale renewable asset developer to construct four independent battery energy storage projects in the Midwest.
Mike Morrow, vice president of M&A and business development at Ørsted, said: “We are excited to expand our partnership with Mission Clean Energy to efficiently advance its development of renewable energy projects.
“This investment aligns with our strategy to enable multi-technology clean energy solutions and broaden our presence in the US solar and storage market.”
