REAL ESTATE – A new real estate investment bank has been launched by former executives at HSBC and Jones Lang Lasalle.

"We announce the establishment of Lowndes Partners, LLP an independent investment bank specialising in financial advisory and investment management services in real estate," the new firm said.

It will "provide mergers and acquisitions and strategic advice, private placements, equity capital markets and investment solutions internationally".

Clients will include corporations, partnerships, institutions and high-net-worth individuals.

The founding executive partners are Maxwell James, Richard Choi and Julie Green.

James was former global head of HSBC’s real estate investment banking activities. Choi was most recently a director of the HSBC real estate investment banking group.

Green was most recently a European Director of Jones Lang LaSalle.

James said: "The unprecedented weight of capital seeking exposure to the real estate sector is resulting in an increased requirement for high quality independent advice and solutions available to both companies and investors."

"As a group of senior bankers dedicated to the real estate sector, the creation of Lowndes Partners is a response to the strong demand from our clients for high quality independent advice and investment solutions."

"At this exciting and challenging time for international real estate, we look forward to working alongside our clients as they respond to the continuing globalisation of the sector. In so doing, we aim to establish Lowndes as the industry’s leading independent investment bank."
