GLOBAL - LaSalle Investment Management, Union Investment, Activum, IC Immobilien Holding, Land Securities, Citycon

LaSalle Investment Management - Martin Jochem has been appointed as joint managing director of LaSalle's newly licensed investment vehicle LaSalle Kapitalanlagegesellschaft (KAG) in Germany. Jochem will be jointly responsible along with Ulrich Nack, also managing director, for overseeing the operations of LaSalle KAG. LaSalle recently announced the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) had approved the formation of a capital investment company for specialist investment funds. Jochem is a qualified lawyer in Frankfurt and a member of the supervisory board of GIG Grundbesitz Immobilien in Munich.

Union Investment - Christoph Schumacher is joining in March as deputy managing director of Union Investment Institutional Property. He joins from Generali Deutschland Group, where he has held senior positions since 2007 relating to indirect investments and the development of fund products for the insurance group.

Activum - The European real estate fund investor and manager has hired a new partner, Richard Wartenberg, reinforcing the company's focus on acquisitions and asset management strategies since beginning of the year. Wartenberg worked previously for Apellas Asset Management, covering acquisition, asset management and disposition of commercial value-add assets.

IC Immobilien Holding - Hans Volkert Volckens will join the management board of IC Immobilien Holding in Unterschleissheim during the second quarter of the year. Volckens will take over the business areas headed by founder and chief executive Oscar Kienzle. Upon reaching the age of retirement in 2011, Kienzle will end his term as chief executive. Volckens is a trained lawyer and started his career as an attorney and tax consultant heading the tax and fund department of an international law firm before transferring into the management of Hannover Leasing in 2008.

Land Securities - Richard Linnell, head of investment management for the London portfolio at the UK real estate investment trust (REIT), is to leave the company next month after 20 years.

Citycon - Marcel Kokkeel is to take over as chief executive of the Nordic shopping centre investor. Petri Olkinuora will continue as current chief executive until the annual general meeting on 23 March. Kokkeel joins from shopping centre developer Multi Corporation, where he served on the executive committee and was responsible for shopping centre management and western European development.
