GLOBAL - CB Richard Ellis Investors, Invesco Real Estate, Quintain Estates & Development, UNITE, CLS Holdings

CB Richard Ellis Investors - Jean Lamothe has been made president of the investment manager's European operations. In the newly created pan-European position, Lamothe will be responsible for the strategic direction, operations, financial results, day-to-day management and leadership of CBRE Investors' pan-European platform. He also will oversee the existing direct investment programmes and lead new business initiatives in Europe. He has more than 24 years of experience in the real estate and private equity industries, including 16 years at the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec.

Invesco Real Estate - The cross-border investment manager has boosted its pan-European hotel fund management team with the appointment of Lisa Neubüser as an associate. Neubüser will provide support on all hotel transactions, as well as on fund and asset management initiatives. The appointment comes at a time when Invesco has signed a €109m refinancing deal with Aareal bank for four hotels for its first hotel fund, while plans are in place to launch a second vehicle in early 2011.

Quintain Estates & Development - The listed real estate company has hired two fund managers: Scott Wilson and Michael Donnelly. Wilson will focus on new business opportunities, while Donnelly will work as fund manager for Quantum, a science park joint venture with Aviva Investors. Both will report to fund management executive director David Gavaghan. Wilson and Donnelly arrive from the Strategic Investment Board in Northern Ireland.

UNITE - The UK student accommodation developer and manager has appointed Richard Smith as deputy chief financial officer and Paul Harris as group communications director. Both will be based at UNITE's headquarters in Bristol.

CLS Holdings - The listed real estate company has promoted Richard Tice to chief executive. Tice, who joined CLS last March as deputy chief executive, will take over as chief executive from Henry Klotz, who will become executive vice-chairman.
