GLOBAL - Tristan Capital Partners, Segro, AXA Real Estate, Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Franklin Templeton Real Estate Advisors

Tristan Capital Partners - The start-up company established by Ric Lewis has hired a team of real estate professionals as it looks to launch its first fund since launching. The company already manages existing funds for AEW Europe, Curzon Capital Partners III. Joining the company are Rui Tereso as head of portfolio and asset management, Monica O'Neill as head of client services and marketing, Cameron Spry as head of investments, Simon Martin as head of research and strategy, Ben Newman as managing director of portfolio and asset management and Sameer Godbole as director of investments.

Segro - The European developer has announced that its chief executive Ian Coull will retire from the business next year. The company is currently looking for a successor.

AXA Real Estate - Laurent Vouin has joined the Paris office and will be responsible for overseeing the management of all of the company's opportunistic funds. These include AXA Real Estate's Development Venture III fund and Real Estate Opportunity Funds I and II. Vouin joined AXA Real Estate in 2002 and was previously head of asset management in France. Before that, he held senior development roles at Tishman Speyer and Nexity.

Goldman Sachs Asset Management - Jeffrey Barclay has been hired to lead the company's new business that will invest and manage core real estate assets, primarily in the US. Barclay will join next month from ING Clarion Partners, where he was a managing director.

Franklin Templeton Real Estate Advisors - Philip Alfieri has joined as director of investments of real assets. Alfieri will work with Joyce Shapiro, managing director of real assets, and the management committee to analyse, select and invest in private real asset fund opportunities globally. Franklin Templeton Real Estate Advisors' real assets team was established earlier this year to expand the group's capabilities into transportation, agriculture, water, energy and timber, using the same private equity multi-manager approach employed by the team worldwide. In addition, Wilson Magee, Jr has joined the company as director of global real estate investment trusts (REITs), reporting to Jack Foster. Magee will be the lead portfolio manager on all Franklin Templeton REIT funds. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton, Magee was president and portfolio manager for Colony Investment Management.
