UK - Kames Capital has appointed three members to its property team, with the appointments joining from ING Real Estate Select's UK group.

The trio moved to Kames shortly after Select's merger with CBRE Investors, first announced early last year, completed.

In their new roles, Mark Bunney, Matt Day and Tony Yu will report to Phil Clark, head of Kames' real estate fund management team and chairman of the Investment Property Forum.

Bunney, who spent more than a decade with ING as head of ING Real Estate Select and was a manager for a number of segregated property funds, has been named head of multi-manager.

He previously also worked at Hunters Chartered Surveyors.

Day, meanwhile, was senior fund manager at Select and responsible for the Osiris fund of funds.

Prior to joining Select in 2009, he spent more than eight years at RREEF and worked for Hewitt Associates between 1997 and 2001.

Yu spent nearly seven years at Select, having previously spent several years in ING REIM's research team.

He has also chaired a property derivatives interest group at the Investment Property Forum.

Clark said the new hires were among the most respected property multi-managers in the UK.

He added: "They have a wealth of industry knowledge with over 30 years' experience between them, and I am looking forward to working with them as we look to enhance our indirect property propositions."
