GLOBAL – Invesco Real Estate has hired Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels vice president Ascan Kókai as its new assets and acquisitions manager for hotels and leisure.
Invesco said Kókai, a German national, has 13 years experience in the hotel industry and has been involved in some €500m in European transactions.
“We are very pleased that Ascan has joined the hotel and leisure team at Invesco Real Estate,” said head of hotels and leisure Jochen Schaefer-Suren.
“His extensive experience in the international hotel industry and hotel real estate assets as well as his international profile will make a significant contribution to our success in the hotel real estate business.”
Invesco added that a “number of key additional professionals are being sought” as its funds grow. It now has €15.6bn in real estate assets in the US and Europe.
