NETHERLANDS - Jan Eijkemans, general manager of ING Real Estate Development, has quit to make room for new management at the unit.
The departure is the second senior figure to leave recently. In September, Paul Trip, chief executive of development at ING Real Estate, quit over problems at a shopping complex in Warsaw.
Eijkemans will leave as of January 1 2006 after a “successful career of 13 years” the Dutch bank said.
“By making this decision, Jan wants to make room for the future new management of ING Real Estate Development.
“Jan made an important contribution to the successful international expansion of our development business. The management board of ING Real Estate highly appreciates Jan’s efforts in this respect.”
Trip, who was with the firm for 15 years stepped down following disappointing results at the Zlote Tarasy project. He was temporality replaced by ING Real Estate CEO George Jautze.
