GLOBAL – Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, Association of Real Estate Funds, Atrium European Real Estate, Dentons Global Real Estate, CBRE Global Investors, GSW Immobilien AG
Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers – Scott Brown is to join Cornerstone as president, leaving his position at CBRE Global Multi Manager. Brown was head of the Americas at the rival manager but will take up the president position next week. He replaces David Reilly, who was acting as both president and chief executive prior to the appointment. Brown has acquired more than 25 years of experience in real estate. At CBRE, Brown was a member of its investment committee, board of directors and its Global Investors Americas operating board. Prior to this, he worked at Hewitt EnnisKnupp and State Street Corporation.
Association of Real Estate Funds (AREF) – Paul Richards and Nick Thompson have been appointed directors and will join the board. Richards is head of European real estate boutique at consultancy Mercer, while Thompson retried from Prudential as head of fund and investment management in 2004. Thompson is also non-executive director at a number of firms and is chairman of Picton Property Income and of IPD’s UK & Ireland consultative group. Richards was previously head of indirect real estate investment at LaSalle Investment Management before joining Mercer.
Atrium European Real Estate – Josip Kardun has been appointed as COO and deputy chief executive at the shopping centre investment and management company. Kardun leaves ECE Projektmanagement after seven years to take the role and will also join the firm’s executive management team. Kardun replaces Nils-Christian Hakert, who is leaving Atrium at the end of March, once a handover has taken place.
Dentons Global Real Estate – Pawel Debowski has been appointed co-chair of the group in Europe, alongside Eric Rosedale. He was previously head of real estate for Central and Eastern Europe at Salans, before the merger to form Dentons. He joined the organisation from Clifford Chance in 2010.
CBRE Global Investors – Francois-Regis de Causans has been promoted to transactions manager for the EMEA. He has been with the firm for seven years in a similar role in Paris, but will now move to Amsterdam and coordinate all European-wide transactions. Prior to joining CBRE, he worked as an analyst for Redevco and Segece.
GSW Immobilien – Jörg Schwagenscheidt, a member of the management board, has left the company by mutual consent. He was responsible for business operations and strategic organisational realignment of the company since 2006.
