GLOBAL – AEW Europe, AtlantiStar, Valad Europe, M&G Real Estate, Hatfield Philips International
AEW Europe – Raphaël Brault has left ACOFI, where he set up a real estate debt platform, to join AEW Europe as head of separate accounts and funds. He will be responsible for the strategy and oversight of separate accounts and funds managed from the Paris office.
AtlantiStar – David Aubin, who recently left BNP Paribas REIM, where he was chief executive from 2010, has founded a new advisory company that will aim to connect a network of global investors. Its affiliate company Aureus, also founded by Aubin, will invest and co-invest in selected projects.
Valad Europe – Karl Delattre has been appointed president of Valad France. He joins from BNP Paribas REIS and Asset Partners, where he was chief executive. He will work with investors looking to invest in French property and with French investors looking to invest internationally.
M&G Real Estate – Hyesik Ryu has been appointed managing director to lead M&G Real Estate's business in South Korea. He was previously a director at Hydunai Securities. Ryu will be responsible for the management and oversight of the office in Seoul.
Hatfield Philips International – The special servicer, acquired by Starwood Property Trust this year, has appointed Blair Lewis as its new chief executive. Blair joins from Royal Bank of Scotland, where he was European head of restructuring.
