GLOBAL – Schroders, Aberdeen, Cushman & Wakefield, Legal & General Property, Thor Equities, La Française, AXA Real Estate Investment Managers

SchrodersDuncan Owen has taken over from William Hill as head of property. Hill, who has worked for Schroders since 1989, will become an adviser to Schroders on property matters. Owen, formerly chief executive at Invista, joined Schroders in 2012.

Aberdeen Asset Management Dan Grandage has been appointed head of sustainability at Aberdeen Asset Management. The firm said he would lead its approach to responsible property investment, working to improve the environmental efficiency of the properties it manages around the world. Grandage has worked within environmental consultancy RPS Consultants and engineering and design consultancy WSP Group, Aberdeen said.

Cushman & WakefieldDigby Flower has been appointed UK chief executive of privately held commercial property firm Cushman & Wakefield, replacing current chief executive Bryan Laxton. Flower will take up the role on 1 January 2014, when Laxton will step down and become head of the EMEA client programme. Laxton has been UK chief executive since the beginning of 2009, and Flower was previously partner and head of London markets at the firm. He will continue to lead the London markets team in addition to the new role. Before joining Cushman & Wakefield, Flower worked at CBRE for 17 years. Cushman & Wakefield has also hired Rupert Dodson as partner and head of EMEA Valuation & Advisory, and will start at the beginning of the new year. Dodson also serves on the firm's EMEA management board and will continue to head the EMEA Valuation & Advisory group.

Legal & General PropertyImogen Ebbs has been hired as a senior asset manager at Legal & General Property to support its LPI (Limited Price Inflation) Income Property Fund. She comes to L&G Property from Lloyds Banking Group, where she was an associate director working as part of the bank's UK property deleveraging programme.  

Thor EquitiesAlan Klein and Jonathan Fishman are to become partners in a new division of Thor Equities, which will target residential property acquisition and development. Both men were previously at New York City private equity residential real estate company Stonehenge Partners, where Klein was most recently director of acquisitions, while Fishman was director of business development.

La FrançaisePhilippe Peirs has been appointed head of international real estate development at La Française. Peirs has worked for Société Générale for 20 years, where he was most recently managing director and head of the private equity fundraising group. He will work out of London for La Française, pursuing pan-European, Middle Eastern and Asian development opportunities, working with the firm's partner Forum Partners.

AXA Real Estate Investment ManagersRiccardo Dallolio has been appointed sector head of alternatives at AXA Real Estate, moving from a role as head of European transactions. Dallolio will be replaced as head of European transactions by Laurent Jacquemin, currently global head of corporate finance at AXA Real Estate. In turn, Philippe de Martel will be promoted from head of corporate finance for France to replace Jacquemin.
