GLOBAL - BNP Paribas Real Estate, Cushman & Wakefield, SWIP, Estavis, Hearthstone, CBRE, Gatemore Capital Management

BNP Paribas Real Estate - John Slade has been appointed chief executive for the UK. He joins from Accrue Capital, where he is currently chief executive. His previous roles included chief executive of the City at Richard Ellis and chairman at DTZ Capital Markets. When Slade joins in June, current UK chief executive Mark England will take up a new role as managing director.

SWIP - Malcom Naish, director of real estate, is set to retire. He will leave SWIP, which he joined in 2007, at the end of June. Naish served as vice-chairman of the Scottish Property Federation from 2009 to 2010 and chairman from 2010 to 2011. He is also a member of the British Property Federation Policy Committee and the Editorial Board of the Investment Property Forum.
 
Cushman & Wakefield - Hanns-Joachim Fredrich has been appointed as a partner and head of the Berlin office, focusing specifically on the capital markets business. He joins on 1 June after 15 years with DTZ Germany. Separately, Richard Davies has been appointed as a partner and head of retail property and asset management for the EMEA region. He joins from Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was most recently lead director of property and asset management in the UK.

Estavis - The supervisory board has appointed Andreas Lewandowski as a member of the company's executive board. Lewandowski has been active in the real estate business for nearly 20 years. Most recently, he helped grow the residential real estate portfolio at TAG Group, where he was head of transaction, from €900m to more than €3bn.

Hearthstone - Kevin Bull has joined the residential property fund manager as a key account manager. He joins from Old Mutual Asset Managers, where he was head of strategic partners. Before then, he was head of third-part distribution at Britannic Asset Managers.
 
CBRE - Chris Vydra has been appointed as an executive director to the Central London business, joining from Knight Frank. Vydra worked at CBRE until 2005, when he joined Knight Frank as a partner. He will joins CBRE's City Leasing team, working closely with Dan Roberts and Mark Slim.
 
Gatemore Capital Management - Cass Business School professor Andrew Clare has been hired as a senior adviser. He is an associate dean and professor of asset management. He also serves on the investment committee of the Marconi pension scheme and as a trustee and chair of the investment committee of the Magnox pension plan.
