GLOBAL - CBRE Global Investors, Redefine International, Savills, Orchard Street Investment Management, DTZ Holdings, Unite Group, Henderson Property
CBRE Global Investors - David Morrison has joined has global head of strategy. He will also serve on both the global executive committee and the global leadership team, reporting to Matt Khourie, global president. Before joining CBRE, Morrison served as global head of real estate strategy at Morgan Stanley Real Estate and co-chief executive at the Prime Property Fund. Before then, he served as a portfolio manager in the real estate investing division of TIAA-CREF and as vice-president of real estate investments at Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers.
Redefine International - The diversified income property company has appointed Greg Clarke as chairman following the retirement of Philippe de Nicolay. Between 2002 and 2009, Clarke was chief executive of Lend Lease Corporation. Between 1994 and 2000, he worked for groups owned by Cable and Wireless, ultimately being promoted to chief executive of Cable and Wireless Communications. He is currently chairman of The Football League.
Savills - The real estate adviser has appointed Fredrik Östberg to its Swedish investment team in Stockholm as a director. Before joining Savills, Östberg was the founder and chief executive of Angermann in Sweden and a project manager at Leimdörfer. Before then, he worked as an analyst and business controller at Vasakronan.
Orchard Street Investment Management - The UK commercial property investment manager has expanded its team by six, following its appointment by St James's Place Wealth Management as investment manager. Richard Walters joins from Invista Real Estate, where he was head of industrial. Michael Cecil has also joined from Invista, as has Lawson Shepherd, has been appointed head of distribution. Ian Gibson, Subnum Vawda and Charlotte Foley have joined from the St James's Place accounting team.
DTZ Holdings - CY Leung has resigned from the board of directors and as chairman of DTZ in Asia Pacific. Leung will leave the company to campaign for the election as the next chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, which takes place on 25 March 2012. His resignation as chairman of DTZ Asia Pacific will take effect from the end of January 2012.
Unite Group - The UK student accommodation developer has appointed Manjit Wolstenholme as an additional non-executive director and chair designate of the audit committee. She is expected to become chair of the audit committee after the 2012 AGM, when Nigel Hall steps down from the board.
Henderson Property - Javier Cuellar has joined the asset manager's Spanish team as a portfolio manager. Before joining Henderson's property division, Cuellar worked at Unibail Rodamco and Redevco, where he also worked in asset and investment management.
