GLOBAL - AP1, BlackRock, Savills, Tan-EU, Preqin

AP1 - Tomas Svensson, former managing director at Storebrand Fastigheter, has moved to the first Swedish buffer fund, being named its real estate portfolio manager. Svensson was at Storebrand for more than two years, joining after a brief stay as MGPA's head of acquisitions for the Nordics. He has also worked at GE Real Estate and started his career at DTZ.

BlackRock - The asset manager has hired Paul Tebbit as a director in its UK real estate team, where he will report to Jeff Morton, the company's head of investment and managing director for the real estate team. Prior to joining, Tebbit worked as a director for Telereal Trillium and as an acquisitions manager at Wesgroup Properties in Canada.

Savills - Max Gill, previously valuation officer in the company's Madrid office, has moved to Mexico, where he has been named director of the consultancy for Latin America. Gill has 14 years of experience in the industry, having worked on valuations in Spain, Portugal and Gibraltar in his previous roles.

Tan-EU - The Hong Kong-based fund manager has named Frank Xin as chief investment officer. Xin will be based in Shanghai in the company's new offices, mainly responsible for sourcing of transactions into its SoTan China Real Estate I fund. He joins from Pingan Real Estate Investment Management, having spent time at Oaktree Capital and nearly a decade at Coastal Greenland.

Preqin - Anthony Habgood has been named chairman of the company's board of directors. He currently is chairman of both Reed Elsevier and Whitbread and has previously worked as a non-executive director at retainer Marks & Spencer, as well as the UK's NatWest bank.
