GLOBAL - Atrium European Real Estate, Rockspring Property, ASR Real Estate, Lazard, RBS, Redefine, IFM Immobilien

 

Atrium European Real Estate - The real estate company has appointed David Doyle as chief financial officer. Doyle, who will start his new role on 1 January 2012, will replace Robert Bolier, who is leaving the company to pursue other business interests. Dolye joins from Prologis, where he has been European chief financial officer since July 2009. At Prologis, Doyle was a member of the European executive committee and led a team of more than 100 finance professionals across 10 countries.  

 

Rockspring Property Investment Managers - Ulf Christiansen has been appointed as a transactions manager in Rockspring Property Investment Managers' German office. Based in Berlin and reporting to Stuart Reid, Rockspring partner in Germany, he will be responsible for acquisitions across Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Christiansen joins from Internos, where he worked for more than four years in London and Frankfurt, focusing on transactions and asset and portfolio management for a number of retail focused funds in Germany.

 

ASR Real Estate Investment Management - The firm has appointed Michiel Kroot as fund controller for the ASR Dutch Prime Retail fund. Together with the fund operations manager, Bart Vink, and the fund director, Bas Tiemstra, Kroot will form the dedicated fund management team for the vehicle, which was set up on 1 July this year. Kroot was previously controller at Wereldhave and fund controller at ING Real Estate Investment Management.

 

Lazard Asset Management - The firm has set up a new global real estate securities team, which is based in LAM's San Francisco office. The business will be led by portfolio managers and analysts Jay Leupp and David Ronco, who will manage US, international and global real estate investment strategies. Christopher Hartung, director and client portfolio manager, will focus on investment strategy and research, while Kipp Kjeldgaard, senior vice-president and client portfolio manager, will focus on client service and business development.

 

Royal Bank of Scotland - Henri Vuong is now associate director of strategy and research for real estate finance, corporate and institutional banking at Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS). Vuong, who joined RBS this month, was previously senior analyst and property research-quantitative risk at PRUPIM.

 

Redefine International - Greg Clarke has been appointed by the property company as an independent non-executive director and chairman. Clarke will succeed the current chairman, Philippe de Nicolay, who announced his intention to step down from the board on 13 July. Clarke joins Redefine with more than 30 years' experience running large international public corporations across Europe, Australia and South Africa. He will start his new role in November.

 

IFM Immobilien - Marcus Schmitz has resigned from his position as chief financial officer of the IFM Immobilien, effective 31 December, by mutual agreement to pursue new career opportunities. Schmitz has been with the company since 2007.
