GLOBAL - EPRA, CBRE, Mill Group, Almazara Real Estate Advisory, Partners Group

European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA) - David Atkins, chief executive at UK property company Hammerson, has been appointed chairman at EPRA. He takes over as chairman for two years from Guillaume Poitrinal, chief executive at real estate company Unibail-Rodamco. Atkins was appointed Hammerson's chief executive in October 2009 after previously working as UK managing director for the company. Several changes have also been made to EPRA's boards. Patrick Kanters from APG and David Sleath from Segro are joining the executive board, while John Carrafiell from Green Oak, Ian Coull from Segro and Serge Fautre from Cofinimmo are leaving. The board is also seeing new arrivals with Olivier Piani from Allianz, Charles Saiag from BNP Paribas and Ulrich Höller from DIC Asset AG joining. Chris Turner from Thames River Capital and Patrick Kanters from APG are both leaving the board.

CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) - Francis Warner Lacey and Elizabeth Sedgman have been appointed to CBRE's Central London Tenant Advisory Group. Warner Lacey joins from Knight Frank, where she was a partner in the City Agency team advising developers, landlords and occupiers. Sedgman joins from Cushman & Wakefield, where she was as associate partner in the Corporate Real Estate team.

Mill Group - The real estate group has appointed Stephen Barter and Alan Collett as advisers to its Investors in Housing programme, which is raising funds for the launch of a new residential investment fund. Barter is a former chief executive at Qatari Diar, the real estate development and investment arm of the government of Qatar, and is a former group projects director of Grosvenor. Collett is chairman of Allsop Residential Investment Management, a UK property management and investment firm. He is also president of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Almazara Real Assets Advisory - Wietse de Vries started at the advisory firm on 1 September as a partner. De Vries joins from Grontmij Capital Consultants, where he was commercial director, advising pension funds and other institutional investors on investing in real estate and infrastructure. Prior to joining Grontmij in 2009, de Vries was managing director at ING Real Estate Investment Management.

Partners Group - The private markets investment manager has recently opened a new office in Paris, headed by Gilbert de La Ferrière. This new location will further support Partners Group's investment activities in France while increasing proximity to clients in the region.
