FORE Partnership has sold a London office scheme to UK charity Nesta.

The investment club for family offices and private investors said the VIEW 58 scheme, at Victoria Embankment, was sold for £50.9m (€72.3m).

Nesta, the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts, will use the 48,000 sq ft asset as its headquarters.

The development is due for completion by FORE and joint venture partner Kier Property in August next year.

Basil Demeroutis, managing partner at FORE, said the company was using sustainability as a “tool to unlock value just like any other asset management strategy”.

He added: “The sale delivers a very strong return for our investors and proves sustainable buildings enhance returns.”

Nesta said it was attracted by the building’s sustainable attributes, which include solar photovoltaic panels.

During the planning process, FORE said the building operated as a charity hub, with 24 non-profit organisations occupying the building for more than a year at no cost.
