Major sales from Singaporean owners have come onto the market. 

UOL Group has appointed advisors JLL and Newmark to market Holborn Island, a prime 2.6-acre site fronting Holborn Circus. The freehold comprises 350,573sqft of mixed-use accommodation, including office, retail, leisure, residential and ancillary space. It also includes 120 Holborn, which has recently received planning permission for a comprehensive refurbishment.

The investment currently generates a total gross passing rent of £13.3m (€15.4m), with significant potential for rental growth. 

Singapore-based Frasers Property is also reportedly seeking a buyer for Cisco’s UK office near Heathrow, having mandated CBRE to handle the sale. The 271,725sqft scheme is being marketed with a price tag of £81m.

Another office opportunity is being offered in Manchester, where M&G is selling The Lincoln, a 100,000sqft office building, for £55m, reflecting a net initial yield of 6.8%.

Data centre assets feature prominently in this week’s list of completed deals and new loans. The largest transaction is the €300m acquisition by 3i of a majority stake in Lefdal Mine Datacenter, a Norwegian data centre platform.

In Italy, Retelit Datacenter has secured €375m in financing for its 38-asset data centre portfolio, including a €175m commitment from Infranity.
