UK - Hermes Real Estate has sold 20-24 Carlton House Terrace, the UK headquarters of Anglo American, for £66.5m (€78.3m) on behalf of the BT Pension Fund.

The deal represents the second-largest transaction in London's West End this year, following the sale of 2-3 Triton Square in March for £115m.

The Anglo American building (pictured), which provides more than 90,000 square feet of office space, along with 14 apartments and car parking spaces, was sold to Credo Group for a net initial yield of 6.18%.

Constructed in the 1970s, the offices were redeveloped by P&O Estates in 1998.

Jones Lang LaSalle acted for Hermes in the sale and David Baroukh Associates advised the Credo.

The freehold is held by The Crown Estate Commissioners.
