Nordic investment manager Brunswick Real Estate has hired David Turner and Will Amies to launch a London-based business.
Turner, who will become a founding partner, recently left TH Real Estate where he was head of TIAA European investment since late 2014.
Amies was most recently at Cording Real Estate Group, where he was deputy chief executive.
Brunswick said it will look to develop direct investment opportunities through partnerships, with increasing demand from Nordic and international investors for direct investment opportunities in the UK.
Turner said the new business will follow a similar approach in the UK to Brunswick’s strategy in the Nordics, looking to form long-term strategic joint ventures with developers and operators.
The UK’s build-to-rent residential market will be an initial key investment theme, Brunswick said.
Brunswick Real Estate UK’s board, chaired by Martin Andersson, also includes Martin Wiwen-Nilsson, formerly a partner at Goldman Sachs, and Louise Richnau, who is heading the firm’s debt investment arm.
