A year-and-a-half after leaving The Student Hotel for the family-owned Zech Group, Andreas Muschter is moving again, this time to Dutch developer Edge where he will oversee the company’s activities in the DACH region.
Muschter, who previously led Commerz Real in Germany for over 10 years, takes up his new role on 1 October.
At Edge, he will focus on leading the firm’s German activities, combined with a mandate to develop the markets in Austria and Switzerland. He will also become a member of Edge’s executive committee with a number of group-wide responsibilities.

Muschter joined Zech Group in February 2021 following a brief stint with The Student Hotel group. Before this, he spent over 10 years at fund manager Commerz Real, seven-and-a-half of which as CEO. He began his career in 2001 at Commerzbank, where he was ultimately responsible for the bank's M&A activities.
Muschter will leave the executive board of Zech Group and Deutsche Immobilien Holding as of 31 August.

Especially the view into the construction industry has rounded off and completed my experience in asset management and project development.’
