Andreas Muschter, CFO of The Student Hotel and former boss at Commerz Real, has taken up a new position as member of the executive board at Zech Group.
Muschter joined The Student Hotel group in June this year having led Commerz Real in Germany for over seven years.
In a message to contacts, he said, ‘It has been a unique experience for me at The Student Hotel and I have learned a lot. TSH has a wonderful portfolio, happy guests, an amazing team, a future-proof resilient business model, a great connected community as well as strong and highly committed shareholders.'
He added, ‘My successor will be the current deputy CFO, Denis Montrelay, who is one of the brightest and most talented characters I have met in my career. I thank him for the great time we had together and our smooth transition, which allows me to step out with best conscience.’
Former colleagues have thanked the real estate professional. Student Hotel Group CEO and founder, Charlie MacGregor, said, ‘Thanks for the last few months Andreas, lots of hard work, thanks for all the effort and great input. Happy for you in your new role.’
Reink Oosterhof, chief real estate officer, investment and development, added, ‘Thank you for your contribution over the last few months, helping us structure the company for the next phase.’
Muschter left his native Germany to relocate to Amsterdam where The Student Hotel group is headquartered and spent much of the early weeks travelling to see assets.
Zech Group is a family-owned company whose principal shareholder is Kurt Zech. It has a building, real estate and hotel division, and employs more than 300 people in Bremen.
