Marieke van Kamp, head of private markets at Dutch insurer NN, has taken over from Neil Harris as chair of the European Association for Investors in Non-listed Real Estate (INREV).

The change was announced today at the INREV annual conference in Berlin, alongside the appointment of Wenzel Hoberg as vice chair, replacing Mike Clarke. Hoberg is chief executive of German investment manager Triuva and Clarke is head of investor services for EMEA at CBRE Global Investors.

Separately, German company GIG announced that it had hired Matthias Thomas, INREV’s outgoing chief executive. Last month, IPE Real Estate reported that Thomas was due to leave in September after seven years at the association.

He will take on the role of chief executive at GIG.

INREV also announced new appointments to its management board: Catherine Martougin, partner at law firm Baker & McKenzie; Ilkka Tomperi, investment director at Finnish insurer Varma; Thomas Brown, partner at US investment manager LGT Capital Partners.
