Patrizia Immobilien, AXA-IM Real Assets, StepStone Infrastructure and Real Assets, Henderson Park, Aquila Capital, Federal Capital Partners, BNP Paribas Real Estate

Patrizia Immobilien – Anne Kavanagh has been appointed chief investment officer. She will join the firm in April from AXA Investment Managers-Real Assets where she was global head of asset management and transactions. She has also worked for Lazard, Cambridge Place Investment Management and JLL.

StepStone Infrastructure and Real Assets– Todd Lapenna has joined from The California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) as a partner in New York. Varun Kapoor, formerly at Hastings Funds Management in the US and Australia, has joined as head of investment operations in Sydney. Sid Chandrasekaran, formerly at GIC in Singapore, has joined as an investment manager in London. Prior to joining StepStone, Lapenna was a portfolio manager at CalPERS.

Henderson Park – Mrinal Jalan joins from Perella Weinberg Partners and Dennis Schiloff from Situs Europe. Jalan joins as a principal from Perella Weinberg Partners’ real estate business (now Aermont Capital). Prior to joining Perella Weinberg Partners, Jalan was a senior associate with Morgan Stanley Real Estate Funds. Schiloff joins the firm as a director. He spent five years at VTB Capital and two years at Hadron Investments. Schiloff was a vice president in real estate advisory at Situs Europe, supporting the execution of European real estate joint ventures and investments for a select group of clients.

Aquila Capital – The firm has opened an office in Oslo and appointed Joakim Johnsen to run the office, which was opened in January this year. Johnsen will act as an investment manager within the hydropower team, will coordinate the transactions in the renewable energy sector. He previously held a roles with Statkraft. Johnson was the company’s country head for Brazil.

Federal Capital Partners – Bruce Gago has been appointed vice president of acquisitions in a new South Florida office. Gago will source multifamily investments and joins from Mast Capital. He has also worked for JLL and The Carlyle Group.

BNP Paribas Real Estate – Richard Malle has been named global head of research. Malle joined the advisory firm in 2007.
