A total of 17 European real estate bodies are now backing a Brexit focus group set up by the European Association for Non-listed Real Estate Vehicles (INREV).

Jeff Rupp, director of public affairs at INREV, told IPE Real Estate that the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI) was the latest to sign up to its six guiding principles for future UK-EU relations.

The European Public Real Estate Association (EPRA), the Commercial Real Estate Financial Council (CREFC) Europe, and the British Property Federation (BPF) are also backing the focus group.

As reported by IPE Real Estate last month, maintaining market access and avoiding new barriers were key issues identified.

At the time, INREV stated it was “committed to ensuring that the hundreds of billions of [euros that] institutional investors from around the globe have invested into the European economy through non-listed real estate vehicles is not restricted in the future and, moreover, that the sector can continue to flourish”.
