Renewable energy investor Luxcara has added two wind projects to its Finnish portfolio.

Luxcara said it has acquired the Sievi and Pihtipudas project, which have a projected capacity of 60MW, for an undisclosed sum.

Connection to the grid is expected to occur in the second half of next year.

The produced electricity will be sold to an off-taker on the basis of a power purchase agreement, Luxcara said.

The Sievi and Pihtipudas projects were developed by ABO Wind. This is the same developer as for the 100MW project Välikangas, whose acquisition Luxcara announced in February this year.

Philip Sander, managing partner of Luxcara, said: “We remain convinced by wind power in the Nordics and are happy to realize two more Finnish wind projects with ABO Wind. We expect the projects to strongly benefit from this renewed collaboration.”
