Kennedy Wilson Europe Real Estate (KWE) has bought a portfolio of UK properties one month after listing on the London Stock Exchange.

KWE bought the Artemis portfolio from Scottish Widows Investment Partnership in an off-market deal. Five retail properties, seven office properties, a retail warehouse and 13 industrial estates make up the 26-asset portfolio.

Spread across England and Scotland, the properties are part of the seed portfolio of KWE.

In its listing in February, KWE raised £1bn (€1.21bn) in equity. The company said the funds allow it to take advantage of a strong deal pipeline across Europe, with an initial focus on the UK, Ireland and Spain. KWE has now spent £223m on UK property as part of an opportunistic drive.
