Aviva InvestorsLise Marbach Deguine and Theophile Perrin have both joined the global asset manager’s pan-European real estate team. Deguine joins Aviva Investors as an investment manager from Arkea Real Estate, where she spent over three years as an investment manager acting on behalf of French and international institutional clients investing into the French real estate market. She began her career at Tristan Capital Partners in London, managing the acquisition and asset management of pan-European real estate strategies. Perrin has also joined as an investment analyst from CBRE

UBS Asset ManagementAmy White has joined the asset manager’s US real estate business as head of business management and operations. White will be based in Dallas and report to Matt Johnson, head of real estate US. She will also be a member of the real estate US management team and investment committee. White has 22 years of experience in financial and economic analysis and reporting, including the last 17 years in the commercial real estate industry. She joins UBS from Invesco Real Estate, where she was the head of valuations. She is a former chairperson and vice chairperson of the valuation committee for the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries as well as a former co-chairperson of the valuation and finance committee for the Defined Contribution Real Estate Council.

Real ISPamela Reidenbach has been appointed as a member of the management of the firm’s Australian arm. She replaces Andreas Jordan who is returning to Munich after several successful years in Australia and will devote himself to a new task at the headquarters of Real IS. Reidenbach joined the Australian subsidiary as head of finance in November 2021. In the past, she held different positions at PwC.

Crestbridge – The provider of solutions to global asset managers, institutional investors and family offices has promoted Brian Jemwa to head its real estate funds division. Jemwa will take on responsibility for providing leadership and direction to Crestbridge’s multi-jurisdictional real estate funds team. Jemwa, who joined Crestbridge in Jersey in 2015, continues to act as a director on several boards of regulated and unregulated entities, including Jersey companies with prime UK offices and retail assets. Prior to joining Crestbridge, he worked for one of the Big 4 accountancy practices.

QualitasTim Johansen has moved into the newly created role of global head of investment and funds risk. Until the latest appointment, Johansen led the firm’s real estate debt team for eight years. Dean Winterton has been appointed as global head of capital to fill the role vacated by Johansen. Winterton was a co-founder of boutique real estate fund manager Chauvel Capital Partners. He brings over 23 years of global institutional capital-raising experience, having previously held senior leadership roles with AMP Capital, Perpetual Limited and Prudential.

ADIA – The Abu Dhabi Investment Authority has appointed Deutsche Bank executive Drew Goldman to lead its real estate business. The sovereign wealth fund has hired Goldman as global head of real estate. Goldman will be responsible, with members of the senior management team, for guiding and implementing the department’s strategy and overseeing its investment activities globally. Goldman, who joins ADIA on 3 October, was most recently the global head of investment banking coverage and advisory at Deutsche Bank, based in New York. Before that, he was a global head of Deutsche Bank’s real estate investment banking group from 2012 to 2019. He joined the investment bank in 1999.

Amro Partners – Elisabetta Li Destri Nicosia has been appointed to the newly formed role of director for sustainability and ESG at the residential-living investor, developer and operator. Nicosia brings with her vast experience in environmental design, architecture and building performance, gained from five years working as an architect and 10 years at HTA Design as a sustainability consultant and senior associate in sustainable futures. In her new role, she will lead the delivery of Amro’s net zero target, develop its tech stack and work collaboratively with teams in the UK and Europe to embed sustainability at asset, portfolio and corporate levels.

LaSalle Investment ManagementBrian Klinksiek has been named global head of research and strategy to succeed Jacques Gordon who will be retiring from the business at the end of the year. Klinksiek currently serves as head of European research and global portfolio strategies and will assume his new role in January next year. Gordon will retire from the business at the end of 2022, after 28 years of service and leadership of the research and strategy group at the firm, to pursue interests in higher education. Klinksiek, who joined LaSalle in 2020 after spending nearly 17 years in various research and strategy leadership roles at Heitman, will continue to be based in London and will join LaSalle’s global management committee, reporting to CEO Mark Gabbay. LaSalle said a successor for Klinksiek’s head of European research and strategy role will be announced prior to his transition to global leadership in 2023.
