Philip La Pierre has joined LaSalle Investment Management as head of continental Europe following a brief stint at Corestate Capital.

LaSalle said La Pierre will oversee all operations and strategies in Europe ex-UK.

Based in Munich, La Pierre will be responsible for the acquisitions, asset management and fund management teams across all of continental Europe.

He will also be joining the European management board, the real estate investment manager said.

La Pierre previously worked as the co-chief investment officer for the Luxembourg-based property investment manager Corestate.

Prior to joining Corestate in November last year, he spent eight years at Union Investment Real Estate as the head of investment management overseas

Simon Marrison, the CEO of Europe at LaSalle, said: “I am delighted with the appointment of Philip to our continental business; his experience and knowledge of European real estate markets will reinforce our position in on the Continent, particularly in Germany.

“This is a key market for international investors, and Philipp’s appointment will reinforce our role in the domestic market and build on our existing presence in the country.”
